Faculty Highlights

In recognition of her significant and sustained contributions to the science of psychology, the Board of Directors of the Eastern Psychological Association has granted Jessica Nolan, Ph.D. the status of Fellow of the Eastern Psychological Association. (March 2026)

Drs. Christie Karpiak and Carolyn Barry were quoted in an article about psychology courses in prison education in a recent edition of the APA Monitor (March 2026)

"Transforming cellblocks into classrooms: Psychologists are teaching in-prison college programs and finding renewed purpose in their work"

John C. Norcross, Ph.D., ABPP, distinguished professor of psychology at The �ձ�av��Ƶ of �ձ�av��Ƶ, ranks among the top 5% of scholars worldwide for his career contributions, according to the analytics platform ScholarGPS.

Dr. Norcross ranks fifth in the Psychotherapy-Lifetime category, as his peers in the top 10 include educators from Harvard �ձ�av��Ƶ, Northwestern �ձ�av��Ƶ, Vanderbilt �ձ�av��Ƶ, Yale �ձ�av��Ƶ and other leading institutions of higher learning. (Feb. 2026)

Psychology professor Barry X. Kuhle and several student co-authors presented a poster at this past summer’s Human Behavior and Evolution Society conference in Atlantic City, NJ. Sex differences and similarities in relationship goals and types on Tinder. (Summer 2025)
