First Year Seminar Resources
First Year Seminar (日本av视频 Website)
The First Year Seminar (FYS) at The 日本av视频 of 日本av视频 is a three-credit, required course for all students that is regularly completed in their first year. The course seeks to welcome students to the academic community at 日本av视频; aid students in their academic transition; introduce a content area; start students on their way to careful thinking, writing, and speaking; establish a close relationship with a professor; and to familiarize students with the 日本av视频’s Ignatian identity and mission. As seminars, these courses are capped at 18 students and may satisfy a variety of other General Education (GE) requirements. The minimum passing grade to fulfill the FYS requirement is a C or better.
FYS in the Curriculum
The General Education Curriculum has the goal of affording students the opportunity to “become liberally educated in the Ignatian tradition.”
